Ather Energy has unveiled the 2025 iteration of its iconic 450X electric scooter, packed with upgrades in both range and technology. With prices starting at Rs. 1.47 lakh for the 2.9kWh variant and Rs. 1.57 lakh for the 3.7kWh trim (ex-showroom), the scooters have become slightly pricier, but the added features justify the cost. Riders can also opt for the Pro Pack at an additional cost of Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 20,000 for the respective variants.
One of the standout updates is the introduction of traction control (TC) modes—Rain, Road, and Rally—designed for different riding conditions. Riders can also switch off traction control entirely for a fully manual experience. Another noteworthy addition is Ather's Magic Twist regenerative braking system, carried over from the 450 Apex. This advanced braking tech minimizes the need for conventional brakes, enhancing both safety and efficiency.
The 2025 Ather 450X also features new Zapper N e-Tred tyres, co-developed with MRF. These low rolling resistance tyres contribute to a 25% increase in real-world range, taking the 2.9kWh model's range from 85km to 105km, while the 3.7kWh version now offers 130km, a 25km improvement.
For tech enthusiasts, the Pro Pack includes the latest AtherStack 6 software, adding functionality like Google Maps integration, Alexa pairing, WhatsApp notifications on the dashboard, and features such as Ping My Scooter and live location sharing. To make charging more convenient, the 2.9kWh variant comes with the Ather Duo 700W home charger, capable of charging the battery from 0 to 80% in just three hours.
These updates further cement the Ather 450X as one of the most advanced and versatile electric scooters in India. With its increased range, new hardware, and smart features, the 450X sets a new benchmark in the EV two-wheeler segment.
